In the Art Bar: Dee Doyle

During the month of March, in the Lincoln Theatre’s Art Bar, Dee shares an eclectic group of paintings with one common theme … Color.  Dee combines major design elements and composition in both representational and non-objective abstract pieces to exhibit color as the unifying theme of her show. We all recognize “things” in painting, but when one doesn’t “see” a thing in an abstract, why not enjoy line, form, value and color for their own sakes? Dee hopes you enjoy the color in her Art Bar Show.

Dee says, “I am happiest when I am creating and sharing through teaching and making art. My personal artistic journey is a series of ‘what ifs’.   I choose to push the boundaries in my work, and try new ways to work the paint, whether it’s acrylics, mixed media, watercolors, or encaustics.  I enjoy letting viewers interpret my work through their own filters and visions.  Whatever I am painting at any time is my favorite thing to paint, and it all makes me smile.”

Meet Dee at an Artist Reception in our Art Bar on Friday, March 9 from 5:30 - 7:30pm.
