Porterhouse Pub Loves the Lincoln!

Sunday, Oct 14, 12:00 am to Saturday, Oct 20, 12:00 am

The Porterhouse Loves The Lincoln … The Feeling is Mutual!
October 14-20, 2012

The Porterhouse Pub has loved The Lincoln Theatre for many years, having sponsored Brewfest as a Lincoln benefit for an incredible 10 years, during which time Brewfest has become a downtown Mount Vernon institution. Brewfest is a ton of fun and a very major source of funding for The Lincoln Theatre. The Porterhouse Pub puts the whole thing together, keeping not one single dime -- all proceeds go to support The Lincoln. This is our opportunity to recognize generosity beyond belief and return that love. The Lincoln Loves the Porterhouse! We know you will, too! By the way, every Monday is Happy Day at the Porterhouse. That means Happy Hour all day long. Just remember to be Happy responsibly.

The Porterhouse is great local pub featuring 21 Northwest Draft beers and an exceptional bottled selection. Wine lovers will find something to suit their tastes, as well. The Porterhouse features Northwest Fare, including its signature house-made chowder and (local) fisherman fresh seafood. The Porterhouse menu sets a new standard for pub food -- the fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and steak all are more than worthy. In case you missed it, the focus is on local and fresh and great. The Porterhouse is truly a local pub where there are lots of regulars and new regulars are always welcome. If everybody doesn’t know your name right away, they soon will, for every member of the staff really cares and will make you feel welcome from Day One. The Porterhouse Pub, just in case we failed to mention it, is a family owned brick-and-mortar business employing local people, buying locally sourced goods and services, paying local taxes, and generally supporting the local community.

The Lincoln Theatre has the bold mission of entertaining, informing and inspiring the diverse Skagit County community through cinema, live performance and educational programs. The Lincoln Theatre Center Foundation is a non-profit organization with a very small, highly dedicated staff, a large body of invaluable volunteers and an intensely loyal membership of 1,000 or so mostly Skagitonians committed to preserving the historic Lincoln Theatre. Located in downtown Mount Vernon, the Lincoln Theatre is a cultural cornerstone serving all of Skagit County. We greatly appreciate the support of local businesses and encourage you to support them, in turn.

And now a few words from Elise Knutson, owner of The Porterhouse Pub: Community is important to me. I truly love the Great Northwest, Skagit County, Downtown Mount Vernon and The Lincoln Theatre. Stop in for dinner and then drift over to The Lincoln Theatre to catch a performance of Witches! The Musical, directed by Jane Skinner with book, music and lyrics by Conrad Askland. You’ll be glad you did!

We trust that you appreciate the importance of The Lincoln Theatre to Mount Vernon and all of Skagit County. The Lincoln Theatre Center Foundation, which is solely responsible for the operation of The Lincoln Theatre, is a non-profit organization relying heavily on memberships and the generous sponsorship of local businesses and individuals, both in cash and in kind, as well as ticket sales to fund daily operations. Local Merchants Love the Lincoln spotlights local restaurants and other retail establishments that have graciously consented to support The Lincoln Theatre financially by contributing a percentage of gross revenues for a specific date. We encourage you to patronize these local businesses at every opportunity, not only on the date of the promotion, but throughout the year. Your participation costs you nothing, but clearly benefits specific local businesses and, thereby, the local economy, in general. Those local businesses then share that benefit directly with The Lincoln Theatre. If your business would like to participate in sponsorship of The Lincoln Theatre, or if you know of another community-minded, locally owned business, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
