The Lincoln Theatre Project: 85 is underway and the sign lighting ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, June 3rd at 6:30pm. Mayor Jill Boudreau and other local dignitaries will be there. Photos will be taken of the group. Music and wine will be available, too!

Project: 85 is…
born out of the desire to bring back the Lincoln Theatre’s historic lighted blade sign, which occupied the front façade during the first decades of the Lincoln’s existence.
this part of the project has already captured the interest of community businesses and donors, many of whom have made initial pledges to the campaign.
Additionally, the project funding will provide critical support for the nonprofit operating the space, allowing it to achieve greater financial stability and in turn offer consistent programs for Skagit County and the Northwest Washington region.
The Plan:
Project: 85 is a celebration of the Lincoln Theatre’s 85th Anniversary. It consists of an effort to bring a historic replica sign to the front of the theatre, and support the health of the nonprofit that operates the space. With this, we hope to 'light up the Lincoln' for those that visit our historic downtown, and make sure the films, performances and community events we put out will continue for years to come.
The first step is the commission and installation of a lighted blade sign on the theatre façade. This effort is already underway, with the design layout of the historically-based sign done by local architect David Hall of HKP Architects. Using this model, and the orientation of brackets that once held the Lincoln sign, we will create a replica that pays hommage to history, and acts as a visual reminder that we are open for the community throughout the year!
The Campaign:
Project: 85 is a campaign with the goal of raising $85,000 to replace our historic blade sign and support the Lincoln Theatre. Sponsorship levels range from $50 to over $5000. Donations of $50 or more will receive a commemorative 85th Anniversary gift to show your support for the Lincoln Theatre and our thanks.
