Halloween Costume Contest Winners!

Please leave your comments and/or corrections on our blog: Lincoln Log, or Facebook. Thanks!

We had a great Halloween Spooktacular weekend at the Lincoln this year and although we are all recuperating from our annual Rocky Horror Bash (and subsequent all day clean-up) we do want to announce the winners of the Mount Vernon Downtown Association's annual Costume Contest:

In the Ages 0 - 4 category, the 1st place winner was Arizona Johnson (Little Bo Peep) of Everett; 2nd place goes to Dalton Kurtz (Swat Team), Mount Vernon; and 3rd Place goes to Quentin Edwards (Raggedy Andy) of La Conner. In the Ages 5 - 8 category 1st place: Kelvin McKinnely (Slimy Monster), Mount Vernon; 2nd place goes to the Zayne Jette (Cereal Killer); and 3rd place goes to Jayden (Dracula) of Mount Vernon. In the Ages 9 - 17 category 1st place goes to Moses Marlin (Headless Horseman), Mount Vernon; Maria (Raggedy Ann), Stanwood; and 3rd place Eric (Robin Hood); and, last but not least, the Adult category was won by Josh Arrington of Mount Vernon with his wonderful Samurai costume.  If we missed some of your personal information due to the chaotic nature of this event, we apologize. Please contact us so we can post it correctly.

We had some exceptional costumes this year and to the thousands (judging from the amount of candy we went through) of trick or treaters flooding downtown this year we hope to see you all back next year. A couple of good friends who won’t be back next year, Michael and Maura Marlin, who have been the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies for this event for 10 years now and have worked in and supported Arts and Education in Skagit Valley with their blood, sweat & tears will be relocating soon to Brooklyn, NY, and all of us from the Lincoln Theatre wish them the very best!
