Rocky Horror 2014

Saturday, Nov 1, 8:00 pm
Rated R

Fasten your garter belt and come up to the lab and see what's on the slab! The ultimate 1975 camp classic returns to the Lincoln for our annual Halloween show in glorious digital cinema projection and 7.1 surround sound.

This year our evening will include Emily & Sean's (semi-private) Wedding performed by the Reverend Betty Desire before we open. But don't be late as we will celebrate their marriage with rice (of course) as Miss Betty presents the nuptials to all and one of you will go home with the bride's bouquet and groom's garter! After the film for there will be free wedding cake and dancing.

Our celebrity guest organist for the evening will be Mike Clark, multi-instrumentalist for Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, on the Mighty Wurlitzer. Mike was featured in the July 1991 issue of Sassy magazine as the "Sassiest Boy in America"

For 39 years, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has delighted audiences and terrified parents. The Lincoln Theatre is the proud Mount Vernon home of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. This film was getting hard to book as 35mm prints were disintegrating and pretty much hammered. This year with our new DCP projector we should have a pristine presentation.

You all know the story -- a loving couple, a few lost monsters and a sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania sing and dance through a sloppy salute to horror movies and sexual liberation. Bring your sense of humor.... and some toast (unbuttered of course).

The night will be opened by Bellingham's Iconic Drag Queen Miss Betty Desire as she "Sacrifices the Virgins" in her own inimitable way. If you've seen this before you know how much fun it is. Bring a virgin of your own to sacrifice.

Our Art Bar will open one hour before the show.

This is an R rated adult show. Not recommended for children under 16.

General tickets are $10, with $8 tickets for Lincoln members and groups of 10 or more! Tickets will be $12 at-the-door.
