Linda Demetre is a figurative artist painting with an impressionistic style. She is known for using a gesture, such as the turn of the head, to evoke an emotion that sets the mood. Women in solitary situations, Hopper style, or couples interacting are common themes. Linda uses oils and oil bars, layering to create a color infused technique.
Her art degree is from the University of Montana. She has shown at Tacoma Art Museum, Sam Rental Gallery, El Prado and SR Brennen. She has studied with Milt Kobayashi, Peggy Kroll, Linda Christiansen, and Lois Silver.
