In the Art Bar: Jeff Whidden

A middle school art teacher by day, Jeff Whidden enjoys capturing fleeting moments in nature with his camera.  His passion for surreal, abstract and impressionist art influence his approach to photography and are expressed in a series of images taken on the slopes of Little Mountain, right here in Mount Vernon. With the intent to encourage daydreaming, he is calling the series “Imagining Little Mountain.” Except for some manipulation of color, these pictures are pretty much straight out of the camera.

In the Art Bar: Jo Jones

Born in Central California, Jo was employed as a Broker and Director of Real Estate Operations for over 30 years in Commercial Real Estate Management overseeing the day to day operations of shopping centers, office buildings, and marinas for investment property owners as well as government agencies.  Photography has always been a passion starting at an early age, so it was a natural progression for Jo to pursue photography full time when she said goodbye to the corporate world.  She moved to Skagit County to be near family, but also to capture in her images the beauty that surrounds us.  Jo

Every Life on Earth Depends on Our Collective Willingness to Do the Right Things … Right Now.
We are in the greatest Climate Emergency humanity has ever faced. In the absence of political leadership, five PNW citizens felt duty bound to act.
