THE DIOBSUD CREEK SERIES: Oil Paintings by Paul Blum

I have been painting in oil now for 9 years, and my work has evolved from paintings of Mt. Baker and the Cascades and mask-like faces to paintings influenced by a weekend with my wife and friends in a cabin near Marblemont along the Diobsud Creek, in the rainforest.  The sunlight shattered by the thick canopy of the Fir and Cedar, the night of wonderful music we all made, and the moonlight all had a lasting affect on me.  I’m really enjoying my new style.

Carol Ann Anderson Mixed Medium

Colorful, unique and functional, that is what I want my art to be. I love fiber, rocks, raw materials, nature and travel. These are the tools I use to make my art. From these evolve Artfully Ann’s unique art. I come from Colorado where nature is a strong influence. My family too influenced my artistic views. I have traveled extensively and lived in several countries. Every day I draw from these life experiences to help develop new ideas and philosophies. I look for the new styles, materials and new tools that have just arrived on the market. I am an innovator. I keep my mind open to everything, becoming a sponge to develop something colorful, unique and functional. I only hope that you will see some treasure you like that I have discovered and can enjoy the item as much as I do. They are all my children.

Volunteers also help with special events, work on administrative/office projects, distribute promotional posters  and help clean and maintain the theatre.

The time commitment can range from coming in once every few months to helping each weekend—YOU decide how often to volunteer!

In the Art Bar: Vessels; Mary Quintrall and Sherri Greenleaf

Vessels: Mary Quintrall and Sherri Greenleaf come together to showcase vessels both literal and figurative and provide a catalyst for conversation.  Mary strives to impart positive energy in her happy, colorful object based abstract expressionist work, using color and form to inspire.  Sherri showcases the natural beauty of wood, allowing nature's imperfections to bring visual and textural delight to the eyes, hands, and heart of the beholder.
