Position: HOUSE MANAGER
The Lincoln Theatre Center Foundation is hiring a part-time House Manager. The position is anticipated to be about 9-24 hours per week for most months of the year, with fewer hours available during the summer months. · Act as the principal Lincoln staff member during events taking place in the theatre
· Supervise event volunteers in the operation of the ticket office, concessions and wine bar areas
· Provide excellent communication and customer service with patrons, renters, and other people using the theatre space
· Utilize Microsoft Office programs to enter reports, place orders for supplies, and sign up volunteers for events
· Organize daily financial reports and accounting of transactions for events
· Support artist hospitality and logistics as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience-
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills-
· Past experience with event management or nonprofit arts venues highly preferred
· Financial accounting and computer skills (including experience with Microsoft Office suite and online supply orders) preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Demands-
Ability to lift 30 lbs required. Evening and weekend hours are routine for this position.
Position: TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (OVERHIRE)
The Lincoln Theatre Center Foundation is hiring an overhire Technical Staff member. The position is an on-call position with no more than 16 hours per week, and significantly fewer hours available during the summer months. Please see the following job description and submit a brief cover letter and resume (1 page each) to admin (at) lincolntheatre.org.
· Assist in setup of technical requirements for theatre events, including but not limited to: stage setup, sound & lighting work, seat removal and replacement, and other tasks
· Oversee volunteer event labor as it relates to technical needs in the theatre space
· Support the Facilities Manager in planning for technical needs ahead of the scheduled event date
Education/Experience-
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Working knowledge of best practices for technical production of live and film-based events, including sound system setup, lighting and digital projection preferred
Knowledge/Skills-
· Experience with technical work in a performance venue highly preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Demands-
Ability to lift 50 lbs required. Afternoon, evening and weekend hours are routine for this position.
